The City of Los Angeles, California warmly invites you toattend the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics, October 26-31, 2019. This is a time of unprecedented discovery and advances in neuropsychiatric genetics. With the growing understanding of the genetic and molecular basis of neuropsychiatric disorders, new opportunities for treatment of these disorders are on the horizon. WCPG is the premier international scientific meeting for research in psychiatric genetics and related areas of research. Leading experts from national and international research centers in the area of neuroscience and genetics will be participating.
The theme of this year’s WCPG, “Achieving Precision Psychiatry” aims to examine the precise discipline of psychiatric genetics and educate all researchers in neuroscience, neurobiology and genetics. “Achieving Precision Psychiatry” will be paramount in order to develop new treatments for people with major mental illness. Scientists from all over the world will again come together for this five-day conference to share their expertise, research findings and personal experiences with the goal of improving the quality of life for those living with psychiatric disorders.
For 2019, we encourage submissions related to the broad field of psychiatric genetics and the following topics are of particular interest to the Program Committee: 1. Biomarkers 2. Cellular and animal models 3. DNA and RNA sequencing related to psychiatric disorders 4. Epigenetics 5. Ethical issues & Genetic counseling 6. Functional genomics 7. SUBMISSION TYPES & DEADLINES The following submission types are now being accepted:
Global Diversity Invitation Bank DEADLINE: August 1, 2019 This bank is to support a researcher in a developing country to attend the annual WCPG by providing waived registration. Please provide a justification for why the nominee should receive the award and how it will benefit the nominee. The nominee must be from theWorld Bank country category group B, C, or D. Nominations must be made by a member of ISPG. Applicants are asked to verify the nominee meets the eligibility criteria. Please note 2019 ECIP Awardees will not be eligible. The recipient will receive a waived registration fee. The ISPG will select up to 10 recipients for the global diversity invitation opportunity.
Registration rates are based upon the attendee’s current residence. Included in the registration fee is the annual ISPG membership for 2020 at $75 and access to the online program book.

WCPG Registration Policy: Refund requests must be made in writing to ISPG Executive Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) on or prior to September 26, 2019. A 75% refund of the World Congress registration fees will be given for cancellations received by September 26, 2019. This includes Networking Ticket. No refunds will be made after September 26, 2019. No refunds will be made to individuals who attend a portion of the meeting. No refunds will be made for cancellations due to inclement weather or travel delays. ISPG reserves the right to substitute faculty or cancel or reschedule sessions. If ISPG must cancel the conference in its entirety, ISPG may refund the appropriate registration fees to all conference registrants; no refunds will be made for travel expenses related to the conference.*Registration rates are based upon the attendee’s current residence. ***A spouse, relative, or significant other (age 18 & older) who accompanies an attendee. An accompanying person may only attend the social functions of the meeting, which include the morning breaks and poster receptions only. You must pay the accompanying person fee to attend the social functions. The only scientific sessions open to the accompanying persons are the poster sessions. PLEASE NOTE: An accompanying person cannot be a scientific colleague. The Networking Reception is not included with this pass. An accompanying person MUST purchase a separate Networking Reception ticket in order to attend.
